Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ: FAQ

WHAT ALL IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR PUPPIES

All of our puppies go home with AKC registration, 30 days of puppy insurance, a free vet exam (valid at participating veterinarians), early neurological stimulation, multiple health guarantees, age appropriate shots and dewormings, a vet check with a full health evaluation, introduction to potty and crate training, and lifetime breeder support. We also offer first month of heart worm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and a microchip.

WHEN CAN I MEET MY PUPPY?

Alder Creek starts puppy visits at 6 weeks of age for their safety. We set aside one hour for you to play with your puppy, get to know your breeder and answer any questions you might have. However, you are always welcome to meet the dam and sire at any time, unless special circumstances arise. If you would like to set up a time to visit, please contact us so we can chat.

DO YOU BREED CHOCOLATE CAVALIERS?

No we do not. We only breed the four standard colors recognized by the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, our breed's parent club. Those colors are Tri color, Blenheim, Ruby and Black & Tan

DO YOU SELL PUPPIES ON FULL REGISTRATION?

Full registration refers to breeding rights. We do not offer full registration at this time.

WHAT IS HEALTH TESTING AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THE OFFSPRING?

"Health testing" is referring to a series of health tests that are preformed on the dam and sire of a litter prior to breeding taking place. By doing these tests, breeders can ensure that the puppies produced will be less likely to have some of the known conditions that Cavaliers are prone to. It is always our number one goal to maintain the breed standard, and produce healthy, happy, well socialized puppies.

WHAT IS A DEPOSIT, AND DO I HAVE TO PLACE ONE TO RESERVE A PUPPY?

A deposit is a portion of the total purchase price of your puppy that is paid up front to reserve your pup until he/she is ready to go home with you. We require all clients to place a deposit to hold a pup. NO exceptions will be made. This deposit is used to prove that you are serious, not just wasting the breeder's time. In addition to this, it will hold your place in line (i.e first deposit gets to pick after ACC). To read more about the terms of our deposits, please read through our Puppy Buyer contract on our "Important Documents" page.

ACC reserves the right to refuse the sale of the puppy for any reason at anytime. In this case, if any money has been exchanged it will be fully refunded. Lastly, we want you to enjoy a lifetime of love & happiness with your puppy!
